Man dies in two-vehicle crash in Limerick

A MAN HAS died in a two-vehicle crash in Limerick last night.

The man – aged in his 50s – was fatally injured when he collided with another car on the R524 at Coole West, Athea, Co Limerick at about 9.30pm.

Emergency services attended the accident and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second car was uninjured.

A Garda investigation is underway to establish the cause of the crash and the road at the scene remains closed for a forensic technical examination of the area.
