Trump's grandfather was 'deported from Bavaria after dodging military service'

His grandfather was reportedly given eight weeks to leave the region.

DONALD TRUMP’S GRANDFATHER Friedrich Trump was ordered to leave Bavaria after he was accused of ‘dodging military service’.

He was ordered to leave the area of Germany in 1905 as punishment for not performing mandatory military service, according to the Guardian.

Historian Roland Paul, who found the supposed royal decree, said: “Friedrich Trump emigrated from Germany to the USA in 1885. However, he failed to de-register from his homeland and had not carried out his military service, which is why the authorities rejected his attempt at repatriation.”

The decree ordered “American citizen and pensioner Friedrich Trump” to leave the area “at the very latest on 1 May or else expect to be deported”.

Meanwhile, former US National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden downplayed the importance of president-elect Trump and again defended his decision to leak documents showing massive surveillance of US citizens’ communications.

“Donald Trump is just the president. It’s an important position. But it’s one of many,” Snowden told an internet conference in Stockholm, speaking via a video link from Russia, where he has been living as a fugitive.

The 33-year-old is wanted in the United States to face trial on charges brought under the tough Espionage Act after he leaked thousands of classified documents in 2013 revealing the vast US surveillance of private data put in place after the 11 September attacks.
