Dublin primary school badly damaged in early morning fire

DFB units managed to bring the blaze under control.

UNITS FROM DUBLIN Fire Brigade battled a blaze at a primary school in south Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

Four pumps attended the fire at Scoil Naithí on Stone Masons Way in Ballinteer, Dublin 16, at about 4am this morning.

Part of the school was extensively damaged in the blaze before the units managed to bring the blaze under control.

Gardaí also attended the scene. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.

Units from Donnybrook, Nutgrove and Dolphin’s Barn were all involved with the operation.

Scoil Naithí is an Irish language primary school. It was founded in 1973.
