Weather: Rain to remain for the week but it's going to be a fair bit warmer

After a wild and wet weekend across the country things are set to calm down somewhat over the next few days.

AFTER A WILD and wet weekend across the country things are set to calm down somewhat over the next few days.

According to Met Éireann, scattered outbreaks of rain will persist this morning over parts over Leinster and Munster.

These should clear off as the day continues with some sunny spells developing. It will stay fairly misty in parts of the east and the south, however.

Wind speeds will remain quite high throughout the day but temperatures will generally be higher.

Highest temperatures of about 10 C should be felt across the country, although the winds will make it feel colder.

Tonight will stay cloudy and with scattered outbreaks of rain. Temperatures will remain quite high throughout the night.

It’s looking like mild temperatures and scattered outbreaks of rain will be the order for the rest of the week also.

So, overall more settled weather but remaining wet throughout the week.
