A TEENAGER DIED in hospital last night due to injuries sustained in a car crash on Friday night.
The 18-year-old woman was seriously injured when the car she was a passenger in collided with a truck. She was taken to Limerick University Hospital where her injuries were described as critical, but she has since passed away.
The 19-year-old male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to University Hospital Limerick. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The two vehicle collision happened on the N21 at Wards Cross on the Limerick side of Abbeyfeale at around 7.40pm.
