Two men and a woman arrested after knife and hammer shop robbery

No one injured in the incident.

TWO MEN AND a woman have been arrested following a robbery at a shop in Tullamore, Co Offaly last night.

Gardaí said that at about 9.25pm last night two men entered a shop in Cappincur in Tullamore armed with a knife and a hammer.

They threatened staff and left with an undisclosed sum of money. The pair then made off in a car with a third person.

No one was injured in the incident.

The car drove in the direction of Dublin on the motorway.

Three people – two men and a woman all in their 20s – were later arrested in Clonard, Co Meath after ramming a Garda vehicle.

They are currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tullamore Garda Station.

Gardai recovered the property taken and the weapons used.
