Over 3,000 staff at Dublin City Council not paid today due to admin error

It’s expected that staff will be paid their wages tomorrow.

PEOPLE ON DUBLIN City Council’s payroll have not been paid today due to an administrative error.

The total number of staff members affected is 3,183 and includes fire service members as well as councillors.

Dublin City Council released a statement to TheJournal.ie saying:
“We have been advised by the finance department due to a systems error the wages payroll file was not sent to our bank AIB yesterday for payment today.

“Due to this error wages staff will not get paid until tomorrow.”

Dublin City Council said that every effort has been made to notify staff affected by the change.
