AN POST HAS revealed the design of their new stamps – featuring four train stations from Dublin, Cork, Carlow and Louth.

The stations featured are:

  • Heuston Station, Dublin, which was originally called Kingsbridge Station, was designed by Sancton Wood and first opened in 1846
  • Clarke Station, Dundalk, which opened in 1849 and was designed by William Hamilton Mill
  • Kent Station, Cork was originally known as Glanmire Road Station and opened in 1893
  • Bagenalstown Station, Carlow, was also designed by Sancton Wood.

The stamps were designed by Dublin firm WorkGroup and are the work of a multi-award winning photographer Janice O’Connell of f22 Photography.

They’re available from the main post office branches, at Dublin’s GPO and on An Post’s website.
