A UK national was caught in possession of the drugs yesterday.

REVENUE SEIZED €650,000 worth of cocaine and heroin at Dublin Airport yesterday.

Officers, acting on intelligence, stopped a UK national who had arrived into Dublin on a flight from Malaga, Spain.

The man was found to be carrying 4.5kg of heroin and 0.25kg of cocaine.

He was arrested and brought to Ballymun garda station where he remains in custody.

A Revenue spokeswoman said: “Investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution. If you have any information about drug smuggling, contact Revenue’s Confidential Freephone on 1800 295 295.”
