Gardaí investigate alleged assault of girl at Carrick-on-Shannon

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING the alleged assault of a girl at Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim.

The Leitrim Observer is reporting that the girl was at an underage disco before the alleged assault occurred on Friday 28 July.

The Observer and other media outlets are reporting that the girl was allegedly raped.

Gardaí confirmed to TheJournal.ie that investigations are ongoing into “the alleged assault of a female” which occurred on the 28 July 2017 at Cartown, Carrick-on-Shannon.
