Irishman in his 20s killed in Mexico

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said that it is aware of the case.

AN IRISHMAN HAS been killed in the Michoacán area of Mexico.

The man, who is understood to be in his late 20s and from the Louth area, was reportedly killed in the Lazaro Cardenas area – a region which has been blighted by crime for decades.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said that it is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.

The exact cause of the man’s death has yet to be confirmed.
