Poll: Do you think gender quotas for TV and radio presenters are a good idea?

Is it necessary to introduce gender quotas to increase the number of female presenters?

DO YOU THINK gender quotas should be brought in for radio and TV presenters?

Communications minister Denis Naughten said that he’s prepared to introduce gender quotas for State broadcasters RTÉ and TG4, pending the findings of a report.

For commercial broadcasting operators, Naughten suggested that if they received funding from the State it could be partly linked to whether they hit gender targets.
