A MAN WHO was fatally shot in north Dublin in the early hours of this morning has been named as Jamie Tighe Ennis.
The 24-year-old man from the Timbermill Apartments Artane was shot on Moatview Avenue, Priorswood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination is being carried out by the assistant state pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster.
It is understood that Ennis was known to gardaí – he had a number of convictions, including several firearms offences. The killing is not believed to be connected to the Hutch-Kinahan feud.
A family member of the victim said in a Facebook post that he was heartbroken at the unbelievable news.
Earlier today, gardaí made an appeal for information for those that may have seen a black Audi A3, which was found partially burned out in Finglas shortly after the shooting.
The car’s reg is 00 – OY – 5067.
They also called for the group of people who were with Ennis at the time of the shooting to make contact with them to aid them in their investigation.
