GALWAY

‘Smell The Roses’ Paintclub Brunch: Fancy getting arty pre-brunch? Galway’s Paintclub collective are holding a Mother’s Day special at the beautiful Tribeton. Painting supplies for a two-hour class in the light-filled gallery space are included, plus a set brunch menu and tea or coffee.

Mother’s Day Brunch Food Tour: Galway Food Tours founder Sheena Dignam has organised a brunch special for Mother’s Day, taking in four eateries around the city. Enjoy ‘mumosas’ and plenty to eat as you stroll around Galway and get the inside foodie track from Sheena.

Pilates And Prosecco: Kick off your Mother’s Day weekend with an after-work stretch on Friday, thanks to the Elite Pilates crew. There’ll be multiple instructors during the 90-minute class, and you can reward yourself with some pizza and Prosecco right after. Group discounts apply, so round up some friends.

DUBLIN

Mamma Mia Garden Screening: On Sunday evening, Dublin bar Opium will be screening the ABBA-tastic musical classic Mamma Mia in its heated garden area. Tickets include a Martini on arrival – and if you want to upgrade to dinner, there’s a discount for attendees.

Not A Funny Word at The Complex Upstairs: Actor and comedian Tara Flynn brings her one-woman play to The Complex, with searing honesty, her trademark wit – and a few songs. Join the conversation about women’s rights, and get a few laughs in too.

Floral Teacup Workshop: If you’re looking for something truly relaxing this Sunday, how about some teacup-themed flower arranging? Floral stylist Brigid Reilly will host the one-hour workshop, and all attendees will be able to bring their flower-filled teacup home. Materials included.
