Poll: Are you making an effort to conserve water?

The national hosepipe ban has started.

A NATIONAL HOSEPIPE ban started today at 8am.

The ban will run until the end of the month as Irish Water attempts to save as much water as possible during what is now an official drought.

The national hosepipe ban has the potential to stem increases in demand, and Irish Water thanked the public for their efforts to conserve water.

The ban applies to using water drawn through a hosepipe for the purposes such as watering your garden, washing your car or filling up a paddling pool.

So, this morning we want to know: Are you making an effort to conserve water?

Poll Results:

Yes (9409)
No (1833)
No interest/No opinion (512)
