Poll: When does spring start ... it's today, right?

Met Éireann says it begins today, but some people may disagree with that.

SPRING HAS BEGUN … or has it? Well, that depends on who you talk to, really.

The season starts on 1st March and continues until the end of May, according to this fact sheet for primary school students from Met Éireann.

That being said, many people disagree with that.

Some astronomers would say spring begins at the Vernal Equinox, on 20 March.

Others might say it begins as early as February.

So, there’s only on way to settle this. Today we want to know… When does spring start?

Poll Results:

1st February (4504)
1st March (3188)
20th March (996)
I'll know when I see it (818)
I don't know / no opinion (164)
