Teenager hospitalised with 'serious' injuries after being stabbed in Galway city centre

The man was taken to University Hospital Galway.

A MAN IN his late teens has been hospitalised after being stabbed in Galway city centre in the early hours of the morning. 

Gardaí are now investigating the incident that occurred on Francis Street at approximately 3.30am.

The teenager was taken to University Hospital Galway with “serious but non-life threatening injuries”. 

Francis Street has now reopened following a technical examination.

Gardaí confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
