Ulster Bank says an issue with its online and mobile banking services has now been resolved

The problem did not affect ATM, debit/credit cards or in-person purchases.

LAST UPDATE | 29 Nov 2019

ULSTER BANK HAS said that a temporary IT issue that saw some customers experience issues with its online banking and mobile services has now been resolved.

A number of the bank’s customers reported being unable to check their accounts or transfer money online for a number of hours today.

The bank said that the issue was a temporary problem for customers trying to login to its app and online banking services.

However, in a statement this evening, a spokeswoman said that the IT issue had been rectified.

“All our services are now operating as normal following an earlier issue where customers experienced intermittent difficulties logging into our mobile app and online banking,” Ulster Bank said in a statement.

“We sincerely apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused.”

The issue did not affect ATM, debit or credit cards, and customers were still able to withdraw cash, use their cards in shops and make online purchases.
