1. #CORONAVIRUS: Health officials confirmed a further 14 deaths from the Covid-19 virus and 212 new cases in the Republic of Ireland last night. Of those 14 new reported deaths, eight of those patients were reported to have had an underlying condition.

3. #LEINSTER HOUSE: The Dáil is set to sit today with a limited number of TDs despite the objections of some politicians and even a warning by the country’s top civil servant.

4. #DONATION: Today, Ireland has provided €10 million in funding to the UN’s Global Humanitarian Response Plan, which aims to help particularly vulnerable countries in their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic

5. #SEQUENCING: Genome sequencing work on Ireland’s coronavirus cases has found most strains appear to be similar to those spreading through Europe.

6. #BRAY: Two women have been hospitalised following a fire in Co Wicklow yesterday. 

7. #RIP: US singer-songwriter Adam Schlesinger,  who was best known as the singer of the rock band Fountains of Wayne, has died from complications relating to the coronavirus.

8. #WAGE SUBSIDY: More than 35,000 employers have registered with the government’s wage subsidy scheme for coronavirus. 

9. #HERE YOU COME AGAIN: Country music star Dolly Parton is donating 1 million US dollars to help fund coronavirus research.
