WHEN THE PACE of everyday life gets too much, taking a few moments to imagine a quiet life by the sea can be the perfect antidote.
While not many of us are able to uproot our lives and move to the coast, Long Strand Nest along the Wild Atlantic Way in Clonakilty, West Cork would be the ideal place to do so, if we could.
Located just steps from Long Strand Beach, as the name would suggest, the timber-clad bungalow boasts unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside and the Irish Sea.
It sits on an elevated site of two acres and features a veranda to the front, making for the perfect spot to sit back, relax and soak up the views. Inside, the 695 sq ft property is split into two self-contained studio units, but has the potential to be extended into a single residence.

While Long Strand Nest feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Clonakilty town is just a 10-minute drive away, while Rosscarbery is a five-minute drive away.
