Coronavirus: Three deaths and 474 new cases confirmed in Ireland

The latest figures were confirmed by the National Public Health Emergency Team this evening.

HEALTH OFFICIALS HAVE confirmed that a further three people have died with Covid-19 in Ireland. 

Additionally, 474 more cases of Covid-19 have been recorded, according to the latest figures from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).

The total number of Covid-19 cases since the outbreak of the virus here last year now stands at 248,326.

The number of people who have died has reached 4,889.

Of the case notified today, 239 are men while 232 are women. 71% are under 45 years of age and the median age is 32-years-old.

By county Dublin has 167 new cases, 39 are in Kildare, 37 in Cork, 36 in Donegal, 29 in Meath and the remaining 166 cases are spread across all other counties.

 As of 8am today, 155 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 44 are in ICU. 14 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

As of April 27 2021, 1,452,434 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland. That means that 1,041,284 people have received their first dose and 411,150 have received their second dose.
