Nationwide Status Yellow ice warning in effect until 10am

Met Éireann have warned over potentially icy roads and footpaths.

MET ÉIREANN ISSUED a nationwide Status Yellow ice warning last night which will remain in effect until 10am today.

The forecaster has said that ice was likely to form overnight and this morning, adding that it will lead to hazardous driving conditions on untreated roads and paths.

The UK Met Office have also issued a Yellow ice warning for Northern Ireland from midnight last night.

Met Éireann are currently forecasting temperatures between 3 and 4 degrees tonight.

Overall, tomorrow is set to be mild with scattered showers with some turning to sleet, while snow will be possible over higher ground.
