Man released from custody after being arrested on suspicion of murdering woman in Sligo

The woman was found dead in Sligo town last Monday.

A MAN HAS been released from custody after he was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a woman’s body in Sligo earlier this week.

The woman, 50s, was discovered at a home in Sligo town shortly after 8:30pm last Monday.

The man in his 30s has been released from a Garda station in the North West region and a file will be prepared for the DPP.

Investigations are ongoing.
