• RTÉ remained in the headlines as incoming director general Kevin Bakhurst said he would reconstitute its board as early as Monday. 
• Both Ryan Tubridy and agent Noel Kelly are now due to appear before two Oireachtas committees next Tuesday. 
• Revelations continued with Marty Morrissey’s confirmation that had the use of a Renault car for a number of years in an arrangement that was ‘ad hoc’ and not approved by the broadcaster. 
• But Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said he will continue to pay his TV license, and that the public should too.
• Elsewhere, an 18 year old admitted to assault causing serious harm to teenage girl Alanna Quinn Idris in a group attack which left her blind in one eye.
• The Tánaiste said he is “minded” to recommend a full public and transparent tribunal of enquiry into allegations by the Women of Honour group.
• Funeral details were announced for two young Dublin students who died in Greece. 
• A judge ordered gardaí to arrest and bring before the High Court a group of housing activists who are refusing to vacate a Dublin property owned by a charitable housing organisation, that has been illegally occupied since mid-May.
• Gardaí looked for help to find a woman and her four children who are missing from Co Roscommon.
• A 785-unit apartment scheme  on the grounds of St Vincent’s psychiatric hospital in Fairview is facing opposition by locals.  A man was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years in prison for murdering his wife in Co Derry by setting her alight in a car after throwing petrol over her.
• Fianna Fáil put forward a budget wishlist after holding a half-day meeting on the matter, with Tánaiste Micheál Martin and Finance Minister Michael McGrath both in attendance.
• There were calls for the Government to step in and stop the practice of ‘influencer teachers’ filming paid partnership social media posts in collaboration with Horse Racing Ireland in classrooms.
• Gardaí are working with the UK’s National Crime Agency to identify the body of a man found off the coast of Sliabh Liag in Co Donegal.
• Two prayer services were held to pay respect to Andrew O’Donnell and Max Wall, two former students who died in Greece over the weekend.

#WIMBLEDON: A girl died and a woman in her 40s was on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a car crashed into a girls’ prep school building in Wimbledon, south London.

#ZAPORIZHZHIA Ukraine has said that “tension” around the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is “decreasing”, but local authorities say they are preparing for the “worst” as fears of sabotage mount.

#FRANCE RIOTS President Emmanual Macron called for order and calm – and efforts to address the roots of several days of unrest around France sparked by the police killing of a 17-year-old boy.

Water temperatures around Ireland – in particular off the northwest coast – were between four and five degrees higher than normal. Temperatures continue to be far higher than normal for this time of the year.
