Gardaí appeal for witnesses as they investigate fatal Busáras road collision

DUBLIN’S BUSÁRAS HAS reopened after an incident in which a man died after being struck by a bus. The incident happened last night at about 11.30pm.

The man has been named by gardaí as Ciarán Briody, who was in his 20s. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí said their investigators from Store Street were awaiting results of a post mortem.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have completed a technical examination of the scene this afternoon.

Amiens Street, Store Street and Beresford Place have reopened to traffic and pedestrians.

A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed to provide support to the family of the deceased.

Gardaí in Store Street are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
