GARDAÍ WHO SEIZED cocaine valued at €3m and arrested a man in his 30s following a search operation in Clondalkin yesterday have carried out further searches today in relation to this investigation.

During the course of the further searches, cocaine with an approximate value of €2,500, and €1,600 cash were seized.

Gardaí arrested a woman (30’s) in connection with the seizures. She was detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda station in the Dublin area. She has since been charged, and is due to appear before the courts at a later date.

These searches were carried out in a number of residential locations in the Dublin 10 and Dublin 12 areas.

Six scrambler motorcycles were also seized.

The suspected cocaine will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland to undergo analysis.

The arrested man remains in custody at a Garda Station in the Dublin Metropolitan Region and a garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.

The operation took place at a residence in Clondalkin yesterday and was carried out by gardaí attached to the Serious Crime South in Clondalkin and Ballyfermot.
