Electric Picnic tickets sell out after Ticketmaster 'corrects hiccups' with loyalty scheme

Some fans reported issues with the loyalty discount codes.

ELECTRIC PICNIC TICKETS have sold out after “hiccups” with the loyalty scheme on Ticketmaster were corrected.

Many people online reported that tickets sold out hours after going on sale, but Ticketmaster said tickets for next year’s Electric Picnic were still available following issues with the festival’s loyalty scheme earlier today.

The organisers of the festival have also said that more loyalty tickets have been added for those looking to avail of the scheme, but that these will only be available until 7pm this evening.

At 7pm, Electric Picnic released a statement to say all tickets have sold out.

The festival organisers in their statement this evening said: “Well, there were a couple of hiccups with the loyalty tickets but, you wanted to be there and you persevered!

“Ticketmaster corrected the hiccups and the loyalty tickets sold out as well as the first time buyer tickets so the lucky ones have them and we are sold out!”

Tickets for the 2025 edition of the festival, which will run from 29-31 August 2025, went on sale at 9am this morning and many of those looking to get access next year were met with long queues.

There were also complaints from users that there was no option to input a loyalty code on Ticketmaster’s website, resulting in them having to pay full price.

By midday, customers reported that they were no longer able to buy tickets via Ticketmaster’s website and it appeared that the festival had sold out.

However, Ticketmaster posted this afternoon that tickets are still available to customers under the festival’s loyalty scheme.

“To access the sale, you must you follow the ‘Find Tickets’ button at the end of the email you received with your unique code,” Ticketmaster posted on X.

“We’re sorry that the email didn’t make this clearer and for any confusion caused.”

Electric Picnic’s Instagram page also shared a statement to its stories, which said that more tickets had been added for loyalty customers – but that these must be bought by this evening.

“We are aware that some customers faced issues on Ticketmaster in trying to access loyalty tickets this morning,” the statement read, before accompanying a link for those seeking to buy tickets.

“We have added more loyalty tickets [...] These tickets will be available until 7pm this evening, and if they are not claimed, will be released back on general sale.”

A message on Ticketmaster’s website states that those with a loyalty ticket discount “requires you to follow a special link or input a code in order to unlock the tickets”.
