Artist spreads feminist message... on period pads

Meet Elone.

A GERMAN WOMAN is spreading her feminist message in an unusual way – by using period pads.

Called Elone, she has been sharing her project on Instagram and Tumblr. It involves writing feminist messages on period pads – or pantyliners – and sticking them in public places.

The project has seen a lot of interest worldwide, which took the young woman by surprise. ”I just want to thank all of you,” said Elone in an Instagram video. “I never thought it would go so far.”

According to Elite Daily, one of the quotes was inspired by this 2014 tweet:

The messages comment on women’s sexuality, relationships, and attitudes towards menstruation. The one above was shared 260,000 times on Tumblr.

When she first started posting the messages, Elone did question the legality of them, but decided she didn’t care:
