Ashes stolen from Tallaght house

The remains of the homeowner’s mother and father were in the urn that was taken from the property.

A TALLAGHT FAMILY is said to be distressed over the theft of an urn which held the cremated remains of two of their loved ones last night.

Amongst the items stolen from the house at Deerpark Place in Kiltipper, Tallaght was a black six-inch square box with a glass top and two dolphin emblems on one side. It contained the ashes of the householder’s mother and father.

Gardaí say they are investigating the burglary, which they believe happened sometime between 11pm on New Year’s Eve and 4am this morning.
