Catastrophe star Ashley Jensen 'devastated' after death of husband

Terence Beesley briefly appeared on Eastenders in the 1990s.

THE HUSBAND OF Scottish actress Ashley Jensen has died.

Terence Beesley was 60. He married the Catastrophe and Ugly Betty actress in 2007, and they have one son together.

Beesley was discovered unconscious at their home at the end of November, but efforts to resuscitate him were not successful, the Sun reported.

A spokesperson for the actress said: “Ashley is devastated and respectfully asks for privacy at this extremely sad and difficult time.” The news was also confirmed by a spokesperson for Beesley.

The couple met while they were working on a production of King Lear in London in 1999.

The 48-year-old Scot Jensen has appeared in shows such as Extras and Ugly Betty, and more recently in Catastrophe and Love, Lies and Records.

Englishman Beesley had appeared on shows such as The Bill, Where the Heart Is, Casualty and Midsomer Murders.

He also briefly played Derek Branning in Eastenders in the mid-90s. Most recently, he appeared on ITV period piece Victoria.
