Three arrested after young man abducted in Kildare

The man is now being treated for his injuries.

THREE MEN HAVE been arrested after a young man was assaulted and abducted in Kildare this afternoon.

A man in his 20s was attacked before being forced into a blue Hyundi Santa Fe.

It happened at St Johns Lane, Athy shortly after 12 noon.

Gardaí were notified and stopped the car on the M9 motorway close to Ballytore as the car was driving in the direction of Dublin.

Three men in their 20s were arrested and are being held at Newbridge, Kildare and Naas Garda Stations.

The victim was taken to Naas General hospital with minor injuries.
