Two people injured after being struck by van in Dublin

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

TWO PEOPLE WERE injured after they were stuck by a van in Dublin city centre earlier this evening.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The incident took place at 8.20pm on Aston Quay, close to Temple Bar.

Emergency services remain at the scene and an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

The road was closed for a time and has since reopened but delays remain in the area.

    Hate driving on the quays by the Ha’Penny Bridge… paths so close to the road… sometimes you think you’d hits people’s heads who even try and look out!

    Speed limit there is 18miles per hour or 30km/hour. Hard to lose control at that speed

    In town Friday night and the Quays are lethal. 30km speed limit and taxi’s approaching the ha’penny bridge flashing head lights instead of sticking to the limit. What use are the flashing head lights if you are doing 50 or 60 kph? What’s the excuse in court going to be? Yeah, but I flashed me bleedin head lights as I sped towards dem.
