Two arrested after stabbing on Dublin's quays

It is understood that the injured man was stabbed in the stomach but his injuries are not life threatening.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing incident on Aston Quay last night.

At approximately 9.50pm a 37-year-old man was stabbed during an incident at the junction of Aston Quay and Price’s Lane.

He was taken by ambulance to St James’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. It is understood the man was stabbed in the stomach.

Two females in their 30s were arrested by investigating gardaí a short time later. They were detained at Pearse Street Garda Station. Both women have since been released without charge pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

An examination of the scene has been completed and the investigation is ongoing.
