Lodgements glitch delays payments for some Bank of Ireland customers

A small number of lodgements submitted using ATMs on Friday were affected.

SOME BANK OF Ireland customers have been left waiting on lodged money to appear in their accounts due to an unexpected technical glitch

It is believed that a small number of customers were affected when ATMs were upgraded on Friday.

This meant that the system was down for just under an hour for the duration of the essential maintenance.

Lodgements which were made during this time using an ATM have not appeared in customer’s accounts immediately.

Bank of Ireland have extended apologies to any customers affected and say more updates on the situation will be available on Monday morning.
