Man arrested over stabbing at Mayo house

Gardaí in Ballina are investigating.

GARDAÍ IN BALLINA are investigating after a man in his 50s was stabbed in an attack at a house in the town overnight.

Officers were called to the scene at Tom Clarke Place at around 4.15am. The man was rushed for treatment to Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar.

His injuries are described as not life-threatening.

The Garda Press Office confirmed that a man in his mid-20s was arrested earlier today in relation to the incident. He’s being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
