Man, 42, arrested over attempted murder in Belfast

A 32-year-old received a stab wound to his neck shortly after 3am in the Castlereagh Place area in east Belfast.

PSNI DETECTIVES in Belfast have arrested a 42-year-old on suspicion of attempted murder.

The arrest came after a 32-year-old man received a stab wound to the neck.

The incident occurred at about 3am at Castlereagh Place, in the east of the city.

The injured man was brought to hospital for treatment but is not thought to have incurred any life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident has been asked to contact police at 08045 600 8000.
