THE AUDI R8 V10 plus looks like a supercar and it sure does perform like a supercar, too.
Each R8 is built almost exclusively by hand – from the welding of the body shell to the completion of assembly, small, highly qualified teams give the R8 its unique shape.
Check out those split ‘sideblades’ finished in contrasting metallic black, that super wide rear, those 20-inch 10-spoke forged alloys, the detailed but not fussy front grille and retractable rear spoiler. It has what you would call presence. It is made from a combination of aluminium and carbon fibre and weighs just 1,595kg.
This model is powered by a mid-mounted 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 petrol engine mated to a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch automatic transmission, which drives power to all four wheels.
And that power is mighty; max power of 610hp doesn’t arrive until 8,250rpm and its 560Nm of torque peaks at 6,500rpm. This car has pace. It is quick off the mark thanks in part to its quattro four-wheel drive system and goes from 0-100km/h in a rapid 3.2 seconds and onto a top speed of 330km/h.
The interior features Audi’s wonderful Virtual Cockpit and is finished in top quality materials to a very high standard. The three-spoke, flat-bottomed, multi-functional leather steering wheel is slim with everything you need at your fingertip. The rest of the switches and buttons are laid out well and the cabin feels sleek and sporty.
The electronically adjusted sports seats in this car are covered in Nappa leather upholstery in ‘Express red’ as are the kneepads, upper part of centre console including armrest, door armrests, door pull handles and door trim inserts.
The standard equipment on this car is very generous, including LED headlamps, high-beam assist and LED rear lights with dynamic rear indicators. It has a heat-insulating, green tinted, windscreen made of laminated glass. The seats are heated and the passenger seat has an ISOFIX anchor for a child seat. It features MMI navigation plus with MMI touch. All the connectivity interfaces you could want, cruise control and parking system plus for the front and rear.
This car also features a Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System and reversing camera.

There is a problem getting a hospital & many other things that were badly needed in other areas that had serious problems. The Healy – Raes always only thought about number one- themselves !

Its the blood/alcohol reading that counts. All Healy Rae was looking for was the limit to be the same for a van as a car which I can’t see any problem with. How the fukc can you be under the limit for driving a car yet more than twice over the limit for the same model in a van? The RSA are the real idiots.
There are different rates of allowable blood alcohol if you are driving a van rather than a car? What are they?

The Healy Raes are stage Irishmen at their best, and people see nothing wrong with it. Did they not want special exemption for drunken drivers in their area also-some of them must have a pub.And is the accent put on ?
If he wasn’t a TD I’m sure a job could be found for him at the family plant hire business, Ran by his brother Danny and nephew Johnny (both Kerry CoCo councillors) who got over 300k in contracts from Kerry County Council.

Or, if he wasn’t a TD, he could be a County Councillor, where him and his brother (Danny, again) claimed a combined €196k in pay and expenses in 2008/2009 (the plant hire company had got 600k+ in contracts from Kerry CoCo in 2008)
His father propped up a crooked government by demanding hundreds of millions be spent on what are really needless vanity projects in Kerry.
The bypass in Castle Island must be great for all the young Kerry people leaving to work in Cork, Dublin or abroad.

Parish pump politics has this country wrecked for years, but to be fair I would blame the system and not those who are adept at playing it. I always thought we were getting reform from the current Government to sort this but wechavent
