Poll: Do you make an effort to avoid using plastic straws?

Give it to us straight. Be honest.

AN ASSOCIATION FOR Irish pubs worldwide, Irish Pubs Global, has announced that it is offering a discount on membership to the group if a pub commits to phase out the use of plastic straws in their establishment.

TheJournal.ie recently reported on the wider issue of the environmental impact of plastic straws and the move in some parts of the hospitality industry to abandon them.

Is this something you are taking personally? Have you decided to make an effort not to use plastic straws at home or while eating or drinking out?
