Man and woman arrested following death of newborn baby in England

The body was discovered at an address yesterday.

A MAN AND woman have been arrested following the death of a newborn baby in England.

Lancashire police were called to a flat at Wellington Court in the town of Burnley at about 3pm yesterday, where they discovered the body of a newborn baby.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

A 30-year-old man from the town has been arrested following the discovery on suspicion of the concealment of the birth of a child.

A 26-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of the same offence.

The investigation is ongoing.
