Back to work blues? Tomorrow will be busiest day for holiday bookings

Enough of the turkey and ham leftovers, it’s time for a holiday…

TOMORROW IS PREDICTED to be the busiest day for holiday bookings by Irish people as the first day or two back at work leaves workers craving a New Year getaway.

According to Hotels.com, site traffic is expected to peak tomorrow night between 9pm and 10pm as people return home from their first day back at work to book their next break after the Christmas holidays.

On what’s being dubbed ‘Getaway Thursday’ the most popular dates for holiday searches are likely to be the February mid-term, the Easter break and the May bank holiday weekend, according to Hotels.com.

“The trends on Hotels.com show that once Christmas is done and dusted, the Irish will be racing to find the next break to look forward to,” said the website’s Kate Hopcraft.

AA warns: don’t broadcast your festive holiday plans online
