Bafflingly Futuristic Gadget Launch of the Day

This is a mouse, but not as you know it…

BMW AND THERMALTAKE designers have launched a new ‘pro-gaming level 10 M’ computer mouse which they say is designed for both professionals gamers and “all those dedicated amateurs hoping to match their wits against the lightning-fast best”. It doesn’t look like any mouse we’ve ever used…

Set on an aluminium base, the mouse has a 3D steering axis movement involving a divided upper and lower segments ‘floating’ over the base. It also has a perforated surface to allow better air-temperature exchange allowing ventilation for cooling those rapid-gaming hands.
