Investigation under way after man (40s) killed in Ballymun shooting

The man, who was in his mid-40s, received a number of gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN HAS been killed in a shooting incident in north Dublin.

The man, who was in his mid-40s, received a number of gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at Belclare Terrace in Ballymun tonight.

The scene is currently preserved and a technical examination is to be carried out by the Garda Technical Bureau.

An incident room has been established at Ballymun Garda Station. Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward.

Gardaí are particularly appealing to anyone who was in the Belclare Terrace and Belclare Park areas between 8pm and 9.15pm.

Anyone who may have camera footage of the incident, including dash-cam and mobile phone footage, is asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
