Teenager dies in single-vehicle crash in Co Down

The 19-year-old was the only occupant of the vehicle, which crashed last night shortly after 1am.

A 19-YEAR-OLD HAS died in a single-vehicle car crash in Northern Ireland.

He was the only occupant of the vehicle.

Police say the car left the main coast road between  Newcastle and Annalong in Co Down shortly after 1am.

The PSNI are currently investigation the circumstances of the incident. The road remains closed with diversions in place.

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Ballagh Road or the vehicle involved, a silver Volkswagen Passat, to contact them.
