Three men arrested over bank holiday violence in Meath

Five males and a female were assaulted during an altercation on Frederick Street in Ashbourne.

THREE MEN IN their 20s have been arrested in connection with violence in Co Meath over the bank holiday weekend.

The men were arrested by gardaí in Dublin’s north inner city this morning.

They are currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Pearse Street and Store Street garda stations.

Five males and a female were assaulted during an altercation on Frederick Street in Ashbourne in the early hours of Monday, 1 August.

Gardaí said two of the men who were injured were taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. They are recovering from their injuries.
