Stepbrother charged with murdering 16-year-old Becky Watts

Nathan Matthews’ girlfriend has also been charged with intending to pervert the course of justice.

BECKY WATTS’ STEPBROTHER has been charged with her murder, police confirmed today.

Nathan Matthews, 28 from Bristol, will appear in court tomorrow morning with his girlfriend Sharon Hoare, 21, who is charged with intending to pervert the course of justice.

The four men and one woman who were arrested on Monday on suspicion of assisting an offender remain in police custody at this time. A warrant of further detention was granted for these suspects at hearing earlier today.

Body parts belonging to the missing 16-year-old girl were found at a house in Bristol yesterday. She had not been seen since 19 February.

Becky’s mother Tania, grandmother Pat and brother Daniel have spoken of their devastation.

We are at an utter loss to understand why anyone would want to hurt our beautiful Becky in such a brutal way.

Her father Darren and stepmother Anjie Galsworthy said the news was “too much to bear”.
