Woman arrested over 1994 Belfast shooting

Sean McParland was shot in Skegoniel Avenue in north Belfast while babysitting.

A WOMAN HAS been arrested in connection to the 1994 murder of 55-year-old Sean McParland in north Belfast.

Detectives from PSNI Serious Crime Branch arrested a 41-year-old woman this morning.

She has been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Antrim police station for questioning.

Murder 

McParland was shot in Skegoniel Avenue in north Belfast was killed on 17 February while babysitting. He died a week later.

Today’s arrest is part of Operation Stafford, an investigation into a series of murders and other serious crimes by the UVF in north Belfast.
