Racist graffiti attack on Belfast homes

One of the residents says she may leave the area as she’s scared after the attack.

POLICE IN BELFAST are treating a recent graffiti attack as a racist hate crime.

Houses on Roslyn Street in East Belfast were damaged with graffiti reading ‘locals only’ over the weekend.

This is the latest in a series of racist incidents in Belfast with police saying there’s been a 40 per cent increase in racist attacks in the UK in the past year.

They said that the majority of those attacks have been in Belfast.

As a result the PSNI have set up ‘Operation Orion’ to tackle hate crimes.
