Ben Fogle hunts sharks off Irish coast using dead whale as bait

A new ITV documentary aims to prove great white sharks are living in the waters between Ireland and Wales.

ADVENTURER AND TELEVISION presenter Ben Fogle has set off on a new expedition, aiming to prove that great white sharks are living in the waters between Ireland and Wales.

This new adventure forms part of an upcoming ITV documentary and the team will be using the carcass of a 30 foot whale as bait.

According to The Mirror, scientists will rig the dead whale with underwater cameras and drag it through the Celtic Deep in an attempt to lure out the sharks so they can be captured on camera.

The expedition set off on Friday and Fogle told The Sun he believes it could be the “most exciting and ambitious thing I’ve ever done”.

“We might change what we know about the British Atlantic waters and what’s in them.”
