PART OF THE Blackrock Villas development in Co Cork, a limited number of new five-bedroom homes have come to the market.

Since launching last autumn, all three-bed semi-detached and four-bed detached homes at the development have been sold. Now, a new release of five-bed, three-storey townhouses are available from €495,000. The five-beds have already proven to be popular with house-hunters, with limited availability for viewings last weekend.

Located at the end of a tree lined avenue by Blackrock village and the River Lee, the development also benefits from being just 3km away from Cork city.

Each property overlooks landscaped communal gardens and boasts its own south-facing rear garden, while plans for a new municipal park including a playground in the lands north of the development mean little ones will be able to play outdoors while being close to home. The historic Blackrock House is adjacent to Blackrock Villas, with both places of residence benefitting from views over the manicured gardens and beautiful grounds.

Families are sure to appreciate having six primary schools and three secondary schools in the area, meaning the morning rush to get to school can be a thing of the past. Meanwhile, fitness enthusiasts will never be short of things to do, with three rowing clubs, a 5km cycle path and a leisure centre nearby.

Days off can be spent at the village’s many cafes, restaurants and bars, at the weekly farmers’ market in the square or learning about the universe at Blackrock Castle Observatory. Mahon Point Shopping Centre, which is Munster’s largest shopping centre with more than 60 stores, is a five-minute drive away.

Cork city is a 15-minute drive from the development, while a selection of public transport links means you can leave the car at home. The scheme has easy access to the N40 South Ring Road network, providing access to western routes as well as Dublin, Waterford and beyond.

As for the houses themselves, homes at Blackrock Villas boast multiple high quality features and finishes, including contemporary kitchens by Kube, stone counter tops, composite front doors with a five-point locking system and panel-style fitted wardrobes. Bathrooms come complete with high quality sanitary ware and tiles, while walls are painted throughout in an on-trend neutral paint.
