Man arrested in connection with Tipperary slurry tank murder

Bobby Ryan was found in the tank on farmland in April 2013, two years after his disappearance.

A MAN IN his late forties been arrested in connection with the death of Bobby Ryan in Tipperary.

The man was arrested this morning and is being detained at Tipperary Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Bobby Ryan’s body was found in a farm’s slurry tank at Fawnagown in April 2013, two years after he was listed as a missing person.

A grandfather and father of two, 52-year-old Ryan also worked weekends as a DJ known as ‘Mr Moonlight’.

He was last seen at Fawnagown, Tipperary on 3 June, 2011 at approximately 6.30am, and was reported missing on that date.
